The Dream Became a Reality

The founder and director had a dream and deep passion to have a shelter to help homeless and women in need.

Lean On Me, Inc. (LOM)  Mission Statement is to show love by providing affordable housing, case management, counseling, educational support and recourses to women in need.

Our vision is to improve the lives of these women by being the center of support and addressing their needs as they prepare to transition into independent living.

LOM has been in operation since May 2007 and since 2013, they have been providing 24-hour transitional and emergency housing. 

​

In the year of 2009, LOM began to service women fleeing domestic violence with crisis intervention and lodging. LOM was able to place an individual in emergency lodging with the hope of getting them into short-term shelter.

LOM also provided short-term support with utility assistance and rental assistance based on need and finances
