
Collette Desselles Brock
Executive Director
Collette Desselles-Brock is the founder and Director of the non-profit organization Lean on Me, Inc. which has been in business since 2007. She currently oversees the daily operation of the transitional shelter for homeless women. In addition to housing, the organization also sponsors outreach events and dinners bringing awareness to homelessness, domestic violence, mental issues and the HIV/AIDS epidemic. She is a graduate of University of Phoenix with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and over 20 years working with individuals in need of assistance with job placement, case management and housing.

Markeshia D. Watson
Programs Manager
Markeshia Watson (Program Manager) is native to Baton Rouge, LA. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Post undergraduate school, Markeshia was able to obtain direct service working with different populations such as homelessness, domestic violence, developmental disabilities and mental health. Markeshia then completed a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, where she focused on public finance, ethics, grantsmanship and fund development, public policy and research methods. Currently, she is employed with the Department of Interior as a Budget Analyst and Personnel Support. Also she is a Mental Health Professional (MHP) where she works one on one with individuals who has been diagnosed with a mental illness. As a MHP she focuses on meeting Treatment Plan Goals by teaching coping skills, independence skills, anger management skill, self- esteem skills and emotional awareness skills.

Sonya Williams
President
Sonya Williams has over 22 years of professional experience in career training, workforce development, and social service programs, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Her work experience and education has allowed her much success in providing strategic management, grant administration, program development, and vocational training within public, private, and non-profit organizations. She has held various leadership roles throughout her career and currently holds the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Office of Workforce Development at the Louisiana Workforce Commission, Department of Labor. This department is responsible for the oversight, operational, and administrative support of federal and state workforce development activities with an annual budget of over $70 million. administration, program development
